Welcome to Church Online
As we continue to worship apart, we can take comfort knowing that our Saviour invites us to come to Him with all of our burdens and He will help us find rest. Our service is online each week, with music, God’s Word, messages of hope, prayers for the people, and blessings to take into your week. At least for now, this is where we continue to be. We hope you will join us here as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship and fellowship once again. But for now, keep safe and know that our God is constant.
Belated Canada Day Greetings!
At the end of this post you will find a short video prepared by Heather S. showcasing some of Canada’s amazing scenery.
So blessed to call Canada our home!
5th Sunday after Pentecost: Come to Me...

Prayer of the Day:
Let us pray… You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised. You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you. Grant that we may believe in you, call upon you, know you, and serve you, through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord. Amen.
Praise with Music: I Will Rest in You
I Will Rest in You – Worship Together/Album: Call and Response
Shepherd of my weary soul
You’re my comfort, You’re my hope
I can hear You call my name
Lead me to that quiet place
Chorus:
I will rest in You; I will rest in You
King of Heaven in Your presence
I will rest in You
In the shadow of Your wings
There is refuge, there is peace
Shelter from the darkest storm
Found inside Your loving arms (Chorus)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
My heart cries hallelujah

Below is a link to a children’s lesson at the Sermons4Kids website (where, as you might guess, you will find messages to help explain the weekly Scriptures to kids).
The Word: Today's Scripture Lessons
Clicking on the Scripture links will take you to the Revised Common Lectionary at the Vanderbilt Divinity Library where you can read the lessons.
We rejoice, O Christ, for in your tender compassion you shoulder our burdens and ease our heavy hearts. Give us the strength to carry each other as you have carried us. Amen.

Prayers of the People / Lord's Prayer
God of mercy and healing, you who hear the cries of those in need,
receive these petitions of your people that all who are troubled
may know peace, comfort, and courage.
Prayers of the People — this link takes you the Lutheran Core website where you will find the prayers online. This PDF file (Prayers of the Church – 5th After Pentecost) is a transcript of the prayers that you can print if you wish.
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen
Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Praise with Music: It is Well With My Soul
A video recorded by Canadian recording artist Brian Doerksen with his father, Harry.
