Pastor’s Message/Worship Resources: May 3, 2020

4th Sunday of Easter: Good Shepherd Sunday

The Lord is my Shepherd. Psalm 23

I am the good shepherd, says the Lord: I know my own and my own know me. John 10:14

Welcome! Enjoy this song “The King of Love” by “I Am They” as you prepare to worship.

In this post you will find resources for you to use at home as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship once again. You will find a link for an audio file of Pastor Jonny’s message, as well as music, prayers and some files in PDF format should you wish to download and/or print. Remember that the internet continues to be a very busy place these days – some files may take extra time to download on your device. It is our deepest hope that these resources will be of assistance to you as you worship our Risen Lord.

He is Risen 3

Greeting:

He is risen!

He is risen indeed!

Prayer of the Day:

Let us pray…      O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Rejoice with Music: His Sheep am I

The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.      – John 10:2-3

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Praise with Music: Psalm 23

And I will trust in You alone, For Your endless mercy follows me, Your goodness will lead me home.

Go in Peace, Serve the Risen Lord. Thanks be to God!

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. John 10:9

Benediction:

Go now in peace. Never be afraid.
God will go with you each hour of every day.
Go now in faith, steadfast, strong and true.
Know He will guide you in all you do.
Go now in love, and show you believe.
Reach out to others so all the world can see.
God will be there watching from above.
Go now in peace, in faith, and in love.

(Lyrics: “Go Now in Peace” by Don Besig & Nancy Price)
