Welcome to Church Online: Trinity Sunday

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host:
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Early in the morning, our song shall rise to thee...

Growing up, one of those ‘expected’ parts of worship every Sunday morning was that our service would begin with the first verse of “Holy, Holy, Holy”. I also knew that at some point in the service we would sing the Doxology. As a result, these words are etched forever into my memory. (Personal note from H. Smiley, Website Coordinator)

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty

Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and mighty

God in three persons, Blessed Trinity!

Holy, Holy, Holy (God With Us) – Matt Maher

We are all missing our ‘together time’. But, until we are together again, we can take comfort that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can continue to be the church wherever and however the Spirit directs us to spread the Good News of the Gospel.

We continue to wait. And pray. And hope. Our service is online each week, with music, God’s Word, messages of hope, prayers for the people, and blessings to take into your week. At least for now, this is where we are. We hope you will join us as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship and fellowship once again. But for now, keep safe and know that God has sent the Holy Spirit to guide us through all aspects of our lives.

In this post you will find resources for you to use at home – there is a link to an audio file of Pastor Jonny’s message, as well as music, prayers and files in PDF format should you wish to download and/or print. Remember that the internet continues to be a very busy place these days – some files are large and may take extra time to download on your device. It is our deepest hope that these resources will be of assistance to you as you worship our Triune God.

The "Gathering": As we prepare for worship...

Window into sanctuary

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

And also with you.

Dear friends in Christ, though apart, we worship in unison on this Trinity Sunday to celebrate in word and song and to affirm our faith in God, the Three in One.

As we worship in God’s presence, let us pray:

Almighty God, angels sang for joy when you created the heavens and the earth. Hear our voices this day and accept our praise and thanksgiving for the gift of speech and song, which we on earth share with the heavenly host.

We praise the Lord of all creation: God of Wonders

“God of wonders beyond our galaxy – You are holy, holy. The universe declares your majesty…”

Trinity Sunday

Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.      2 Corinthians 13:11

Prayer of the Day:

Trinity_Circle_in_Blue

Let us pray…

Almighty Creator and ever-living God: we worship your glory, eternal Three-in-One, and we praise your power, majestic One-in-Three. Keep us steadfast in this faith, defend us in all adversity, and bring us at last into your presence, where you live in endless joy and love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

From the Psalms: How majestic is your name!

Prayers of the People / Lord's Prayer

Holy, holy, holy God, in calling forth creation from the void, revealing yourself in human flesh, and pouring forth your wisdom to guide us, you manifest your concern for your whole universe. You invite us, as your people, to gather the world’s needs into our hearts and bring them before you. Let us pray…

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Holy, holy, holy God, fill us with strength and courage, with discernment and compassion, that we may be your instruments of justice and love in this world, that it may be on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Sending Music/Benediction: "Go, My Children"

“Go, My children, with my blessing, never alone…”

“I the Lord will be your Father, Savior, Comforter, and Brother. Go, My children, I will keep you…”

Blessing for Trinity Sunday:

In this new season
may you know
the presence of the God
who dwells within your days,
the mystery of the Christ
who drenches you in love,
the blessing of the Spirit
who bears you into life anew.

Go in Peace, Serve the Lord. Thanks be to God!
