Thanksgiving Sunday 2022 Live-Stream Worship

The Lessons: (Link to the Readings)
First Reading:
Deuteronomy 26:1-11
This reading is a call for worshipful thanksgiving on a regular basis, affirming faith in God through the acts of giving and recollection the foundation of faith, for continued survival.
Psalm: Psalm 100
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. (Ps. 100:4)
Second Reading: Philippians 4:4-9
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
Philippians 4:6-7  – The Message

Gospel: John 6:25-35
Bread is a gift from God: when Moses fed his people in the desert with food which fell from heaven, and during the last supper, when bread became the body of Christ. When Jesus multiplied the bread to feed the crowd, bread became a sign of sharing. It also symbolized the Word of God which nourished the crowds.

Almighty God our Father, your generous goodness comes to us new every day. By the work of your Spirit lead us to acknowledge your goodness, give thanks for your benefits, and serve you in willing obedience, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen
