Luke 4: 21-30 When Jesus spoke these words, those who heard it did not comprehend that Jesus was the Son of God, and not merely “the son of Joseph”. Coming from a “local boy” his message seemed unwelcome to many.
Jesus offers healing and help to all of us – but we ourselves must be open to allowing him to act in our lives.
Prayer: Forgive me, Lord, for the times I have not listened to people with what I consider to be unwelcome messages. Help me to listen to your Word even when it is hard to hear and uncomfortable for me to act upon. Amen
