Pastor’s Message/Worship Resources: July 26, 2020

Welcome to Church Online

OnlineWorship_sign_sm

Today we send our sincere thanks to Pastor Donna Alm of Peace Lutheran Church in Claresholm for sharing God’s Word with us today while Pastor Jonny is away. Your time, effort and willingness to share with us is sincerely appreciated. You will find Pastor Donna’s audio message and service in a YouTube link later in this post. There are no links to music in this post but don’t despair, there is music to be found in the YouTube service.

As we continue to worship apart, we can take comfort knowing that our Saviour invites us to come to Him with all of our burdens and He will help us find rest. Our service is online each week, with music, God’s Word, messages of hope, prayers for the people, and blessings to take into your week. At least for now, this is where we continue to be. We hope you will join us here as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship and fellowship once again. But for now, keep safe and know that our God is constant.

8th Sunday after Pentecost: The Kingdom of Heaven...

The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls; on finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.   Matthew 13:45-46

From the Psalms: Make your face shine...

Prayer of the Day:

Prayer of the Day

Let us pray…     Beloved and sovereign God, through the death and resurrection of your Son you bring us into your kingdom of justice and mercy. By your Spirit, give us your wisdom, that we may treasure the life that comes from Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Children's Worship: For the young & the young at heart

Below is a link to a children’s lesson at the Sermons4Kids website (where, as you might guess, you will find messages to help explain the weekly Scriptures to kids).

Romans-8.28

O sovereign God, in Jesus Christ you set your holy reign upon this earth and within your people. So let its coming be like the mustard seed that grows into greatness, and like the leaven that mixes with the grain until the whole becomes greater, to the praise of the triune God, who lives forevermore. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Benediction:

Go in Peace, Serve the Lord. Thanks be to God!
