Pastor’s Message/Worship Resources: July 19, 2020

Welcome to Church Online

OnlineWorship_sign_sm

A multitude of thanks goes out to Pastor Dawn Nelson of Lord of All Lutheran Church in Strathmore (and whoever is responsible for the technical aspect of getting her message online) for sharing God’s Word with us today while Pastor Jonny is away. Your time, effort and willingness to share with us is sincerely appreciated. Pastor Dawn’s message is being shared with several area congregations today – we are indeed one in the Spirit!

As we continue to worship apart, we can take comfort knowing that our Saviour invites us to come to Him with all of our burdens and He will help us find rest. Our service is online each week, with music, God’s Word, messages of hope, prayers for the people, and blessings to take into your week. At least for now, this is where we continue to be. We hope you will join us here as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship and fellowship once again. But for now, keep safe and know that our God is constant.

7th Sunday after Pentecost: Teach Me Your Way O Lord

The Word: Today's Scripture Lessons

Faithful God, you care for us with compassion and firmness, urging us to grow in love for you. Through Christ, may we hear more deeply your call to be rooted in your way. Amen.

Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come — yes, let them foretell what will come. Isaiah 44:7

Steadfast God, teach us your way and your truth. Root us in you alone, help us to grow in grace and love, that we may fulfill our role and our work in the reign of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Life-giving God, heal our lives, that we may acknowledge your wonderful deeds and offer you thanks from generation to generation through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Blessing...

Benediction:

Go in Peace, Serve the Lord. Thanks be to God!
