Pastor’s Message/Worship Resources: August 16, 2020

Welcome to Church Online

OnlineWorship_sign_sm

As we continue to worship apart, we can take comfort knowing that our Saviour invites us to come to Him with all of our burdens and He will help us find rest. Our service is online each week, with music, God’s Word, messages of hope, prayers for the people, and blessings to take into your week. At least for now, this is where we continue to be. We hope you will join us here as we await the time when we will be able to gather together for worship and fellowship once again. But for now, keep safe and know that our God is constant.

11th Sunday after Pentecost:

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. – Psalm 67:3

Oxygen Volume 14

Let us pray…     God of all peoples, your arms reach out to embrace all those who call upon you. Teach us as disciples of your Son to love the world with compassion and constancy, that your name may be known throughout the earth, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

Matthew15

Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed instantly. – Matthew 15:28

Holy One of Israel, covenant-keeper, you restore what is lost, heal what is wounded, and gather in those who have been rejected. Give us the faith to speak as steadfastly as did the Canaanite woman, that the outcast may be welcomed and all people may be blessed. Amen.

Prayers of the People / Lord's Prayer

We praise your abiding guidance, O God, for you sent us Jesus,
our Teacher and Messiah, to model for us the way of love for the whole universe.
We offer these prayers of love on behalf of ourselves and our neighbours,
on behalf of your creation and our fellow creatures.

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen

Loving God, open our ears to hear your word and draw us closer to you, that the whole world may be one with you as you are one with us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
